Pre-Production Inspection (PPI)

This inspection occurs before production begins, focusing on raw materials or components to ensure they meet quality specifications. Conducting a PPI early in the production process helps reduce wasted time, material costs, and potential shipment delays if specifications are not met..

During Production Inspection (DPI)

Conducted when 20% to 80% of the goods are finished, with over 20% packed into export cartons, the DPI verifies that the initial production standards are being upheld. It ensures that the products continue to meet quality requirements, particularly in cases involving new raw materials, operators, production lines, or specification changes.

Initial Production Inspection (IPI)

Performed when approximately 10% of the products are finished, the IPI allows for a review of product quality requirements before mass production starts. This inspection facilitates timely corrections for any identified non-conformities and enables improvements to be made prior to full-scale production.

Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)

Taking place just before shipment—once 100% of production is complete and at least 80% is packed into cartons—the PSI evaluates whether the final product meets all quality specifications, including color, workmanship, size, labeling, functionality, fit, and packaging. The goal is to identify any quality defects that could delay the shipment of substandard products.
